    The process to edit existing details of the Department

    The update process of Department is as follows:

    Navigation: Menu > Settings > Search for Departments App > Listview > Select the Department > Edit (Pencil Icon) 


    If user wants to update the already existing Department details, user needs to click on ‘Edit’ option at the top right corner and fill in the required details.

    Edit Department

    Field name Description
    Department Name By default the system shows the name of the department; if user wants to change it, enter the new name of the department
    Code By default the system shows the short name of the department; if user wants to change it, enter the short name of the department
    Description Comment or enter short notes about the department

    Apply the required changes and click on Save.

    Updates in Details Portlet

    The process to update the Designation is as follows

    Navigation: Menu > Settings > Search for Departments App > Listview > Select the Department > Overview Portlet > Designation Widget > Edit (Three Dots)

    User can click on “+” button in Designation Widget to add a new Designation & it shows the labels. Fill  the required fields & click on Save.

    If user wants to update the already existing Designation details, user needs to click on ‘Edit’ option at the top right corner and fill in the required details.

    Edit Designation   

    Field name Description
    Designation By default the system shows name of the designation assigned; if user wants to change it, enter the new name of the designation
    Code By default the system shows the short name of the designation; if user wants to change it, enter the short name of the designation
    Department By default the system shows the department name of the corresponding designation; if user wants to change it, select the department name from the list
    Roles The system automatically shows the roles assigned to the designation; if user wants to change it, select the role(s) from the list to assign
    Apply Type By default the system shows the role apply type of the designation; if user wants to change it, select whether the role is applied as internal, external or all from the options
    Description User can comment or write short notes about the designation

    Apply the required changes and click on Save
