Introduction
A LOB (line-of-business) is a general term that describes the products or services offered by a business or manufacturer.
The multiple business verticals can be configured in the “Line of Business App.”
Line-of-business service units must respond to the marketplace to refine or develop new products. They engage various services across the enterprise to support the product life cycle
Portlets & Widgets
In the layout view, a Portlet accurately represents each functionality, and its corresponding data is precisely viewed as a Widget. The following section includes the default portlets and widgets of the LoB (Line of Business) App.
This widget contains Line of Business segment name and Short code of the the LoB.
Field name | Description |
LoB | Line of business segment of the company. It refers to a specific product, service, or set of activities that a company engages in to generate revenue like Automotive, Industrial etc. |
Short Code | It refers to representation of Line of Business name in short. Example: Automotive LoB Short code is ‘AUT’ |
Recommended Tags
This widget contains Tag name and App name of the Line of Business (LoB)
Field name | Description |
Tag Name | Tag name is displayed. Tag enables the grouping of different entities within a system (for example Zone wise grouping of customers, two-wheeler tires, etc.), which can be defined by each organization based on the analytic reports |
App | Displays the App name to which the LoB belongs |
Default Contact
Displays default Contact person name. Any stakeholder can be assigned by default with respect to the LoB & Branch.
LoB Wise Break Up
Breakup value would be the value of a company if its components were to be sold or spun off and operated independently.
This widget contains the App name and Break Up value of the items

Transaction lock dates
A lock date is when no user can change an accounting document influencing the previous fiscal period.
This widget contains the transaction lock dates of Invoices, DC, Order, and Receipts.
Field name | Description |
Invoice Lock Date | Lock date assigned for the Invoice is displayed. A particular date that can be selected to lock the Invoices for creation & update. Prior to the date assigned, user cannot make changes. |
Receipt Lock Date | Lock date assigned for the Receipt is displayed. It refers to a specific date that can be selected to lock the Receipts for creation & update. Prior to the date assigned, user cannot make changes. |
DC Lock Date | Lock date assigned for the DC (Delivery Challan) is displayed. It refers to a specific date that can be selected to lock the DCs for creation & update. Prior to the date assigned, user cannot make changes. |
Order Lock Date | Lock date assigned for the Order is displayed. It refers to a specific date that can be selected to lock the Orders for creation & update. Prior to the date assigned, user cannot make changes. |
Description | Comments or short notes about the Line of Business segment is displayed |
Note: Invoice Lock Dates can be accessed if requested by the Customer or Distributor.
Category Setting
This widget contains Category setting details of the branch
Branch | Branch name is displayed |
Setting | System displays whether the Category Setting is enabled or not. The system displays ‘YES’ if Category Setting is enabled and ‘NO’ if disabled |
Sales Batch & MRP
This widget contains the settings details of the Sales Batch
Branch | Displays the branch name |
Settings | Displays whether the inventory Sales are sold by Batch method or MRP method. A batch is a quantity of goods produced at one time. |
Purchase Batch & MRP
This widget contains the settings details of the Purchase Batch
Branch | Displays branch name |
Settings | Displays whether the inventory Purchases are purchased by Batch method or MRP method. A Batch is a quantity of goods produced at one time. |
Purchase MRP
This widget contains the Purchase MRP settings of the branch based on LIFO and FIFO. LIFO stands for “last-in, first-out” and refers to a method of accounting for inventory where the most recent inventory purchases are assumed to be sold first.
The First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method assumes that the oldest inventory purchased is sold first.

Serial No. Check Branch
Users can track individual items by their serial number, preventing them from being duplicated or sold/purchased multiple times.

Setting | Displays whether the inventory items of the branch have a setting to check serial number availability of the current branch. The system shows ‘YES’ if check availability settings is enabled and ‘NO’ if disabled |
Sales MRP
This widget contains the Sales MRP settings of the branch based on LIFO and FIFO.
The Last-In, First-Out (LIFO) method assumes that the last unit to arrive in inventory or more recent is sold first. The First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method takes that the oldest unit of stock is sold first.

Display Unit Price
Branch | Displays the branch name |
Settings | The system displays whether Unit Price of the Items settings is enabled or not. The system shows ‘Yes’ if Display Unit Price setting is selected and ‘No’ if not. |
Sale Check Availability
This widget displays the settings to check availability of the inventory of a branch
Branch | The name of the branch is displayed |
Check availability | The system displays ‘YES’ if check availability settings is enabled and ‘NO’ if disabled |
Sales Auto MRP
This widget contains the branch inventory for which Auto MRP is enabled.

Auto MRP | The system displays ‘YES’ if Sales Auto MRP setting is enabled and ‘NO’ if disabled |
Sales Inventory
The Inventory type of sales can be defined in terms of Packs, Pieces & quantity based on user transactions
Branch | Displays the name of the branch |
Sales | Displays whether Inventory Sales are sold by Quantity wise, in Packs, in Packs & Pieces or Pieces type. |
Sales Order
This widget contains details about the Sales Order Settings like Auto-Invoice, Tax Calculations, Price Types and Deviation Quantity.

Setting | Displays Sales Order settings whether a DC or an Invoice is created first |
Auto Invoice | This option can be enabled to automatically generate the Invoice when the DC is created |
Deviation Qty | Displays deviation quantity. It is a measurement of a relative riskiness of an asset |
Calculate Tax | Displays the Tax settings whether the Tax should be applied or not. Tax will be applied in all transactions by default by enabling the button |
Price type | Price type setting of the order is displayed (Composite price, Piece price or both) |
Purchase Order

This widget contains the settings assigned to the Sales Opportunity.
Branch | Name of the branch is displayed |
Setting | Displays the Sales settings assigned to Sales Opportunity; whether the opportunity setting should be in Quantity, Value or Quantity and Value |
Purchase Opportunity
This widget contains the settings assigned to the Purchase Opportunity.

Ledger Settings
This widget contains the settings assigned to the Ledgers

Sales Expense | Displays the Sales Expense account name of the ledger. Selling expenses are the costs associated with distributing, marketing and selling a product or service. |
Purchase Expense | Displays the Purchase Expense account name of the ledger. Purchase Expenses means all expenses incurred in connection with the purchase of common stock or goods. |
Adjustment | Displays the Adjustment account name of the ledger |
Purchase Inventory
The Inventory type of Purchases can be defined in terms of Packs, Pieces & quantity based on user transactions
Branch | Displays the name of the branch |
Purchase | Displays whether Inventory Purchases are bought in Quantity wise, in Packs, in Packs & Pieces or Pieces type. |
Purchase Plan
This widget contains Purchase Plan setting details like Organization name, Branch name, Lead time, SD Lead time and Service Level details.

Lead time | Displays lead time in days. It is the number of days from when a company places an order for production inputs it needs, to when those items arrive at the manufacturing plant |
SD lead Time | Displays lead time in days of Sales and Distribution. It is the Period of time that it takes a product to go on a shipment |
Service Level | Displays service level percentage. Certain goals are defined and the service level gives the percentage to which those goals should be achieved. The number of tickets resolved within the SLA(Service Level Agreement) divided by the total number of tickets resolved during the selected time period within the filters |
Activity Log provide users with essential information, notifications, and real-time updates to keep them engaged and informed about key activities in apps related to updates, notifications, and stage changes.
