Project Groups Overview

Article sections

    Introduction

Project groups, in the context of project management, refer to a collection of related projects managed in a coordinated way. This grouping can be based on a variety of factors such as shared goals, common resources, interdependence, similar stakeholders, or because they fall under a specific program or portfolio.

Project groups can be particularly beneficial when managing complex endeavors or when different projects impact each other in terms of outcomes, risks, or resources. By grouping these projects together, project managers can have a holistic view of all related activities, making it easier to spot potential issues, mitigate risks, and optimize resource allocation
